Do you wake in the same pattern of wondering, Who am I? How do I serve? What do I want to do with my life? What is my purpose? What will make my heart sing today?
Does this sound familiar? These are common questions, many of us ask ourselves, its almost a habit. Do we ever stop and appreciate the moment we are living in, and the gift of just being?
As a culture, we have been taught to believe we have to do something or be something to have value, to feel good about self. Many of us are striving, achieving, and trying to do or be more than we are. Why?
Yet, when we give ourselves permission to turn-off, or at least mute, our busy minds and look beyond the would haves, could haves, should haves and not enoughs, and look within, we navigate to a soft place in the centre of our Beings. That place called home. A place where we are always welcome just the way we are, a place where we will always find peace, acceptance, relaxation and most of all love. No striving, achieving, or doing necessary. Just being the gift you are.
The other day I slowed down and checked into the centre of my being, my home, and heard myself say, “You are exactly where you are meant to be.” I relaxed into that knowing, and began to reflect on the many affirmations and gifts life had sent my way over the past week confirming that knowing.
What stayed with me, as well, is the reminder that life is a practice and journey, and the only thing necessary is a willingness to show up and honor the “presents/presence” and gifts that come, rather than would, could, or should. There is choice; what kind of life do you choose?
When I listen to my heart-space, I choose to live each day to the fullest honoring the gifts of being. I show up fully and completely, as best I can for myself and in turn show up fully and completely for others. I appreciate the gift of life, my presence and yours. Have you taken the time to acknowledge the gift of you, your life and your Present/Presence?
